Seattle Police report a 28-year-old man has been arrested following a drive-by shooting outside the Grocery Outlet in the Central District on Monday afternoon.

Officers responded to 911 reports of gunshots heard near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way and East Union Street that came in around 12:45 p.m. Aug. 6.

Officers found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet in the 2700 block of East Union Street. He was treated at the scene before being transported to Harborview Medical Center.

An SPD Blotter post states the suspect was identified by the Gang Unit, and located later that afternoon in First Hill, where SWAT took him into custody.

SPD reports two handguns were recovered following the execution of search warrants for the suspect’s vehicle and residence.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail on multiple gun-related charges.
