Madrona author Susan McCormick will release this month her second book in her Fog Ladies cozy murder mystery series, “The Fog Ladies: Family Matters” (The Wild Rose Press, Inc).

According to the press release, “Overworked medical intern Sarah James and the spunky Fog Ladies are back, this time puzzling over matters of family. Why would a man kill his wife, the mother of his child? With kitchen shears? Was it their troubled marriage? Her $1 million insurance policy? This question haunts Sarah, who meets the man at a family resort on Big Sur.”

The book is set in San Francisco and along the Northern California coast and is “full of fun and joy, and also reflection and heartache.”

McCormick is a writer and doctor who lives in Madrona. She graduated from Smith College and George Washington University School of Medicine, with additional medical training in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. McCormick served as a doctor in the U.S. Army for nine years before moving to the Pacific Northwest.
