The Seattle Department of Neighborhoods is seeking people interested in serving on a standing advisory committee for Kaiser Permanente to provide feedback on future developments.

Kaiser acquired Group Health Cooperative for $1.8 billion following approval in January, and that includes Group Health’s Capitol Hill campus. It announced in September 2017 that it is planning a $400 million renovation and redesign of its flagship Capitol Hill campus, which it slated for completion in 2022.

“They have not had a standing advisory committee in place for a while, so what we’re doing now is getting people to volunteer for a committee,” said Maureen Sheehan with the Department of Neighborhoods when the department attempted to attract SAC volunteers last August.

The Kaiser Permanente SAC will meet one to four times a year to review the entity’s master plan and provide advice on planned developments. Appointments are for two-year renewable terms.
