Magnolia resident Gregory Glenn Safadago became Boy Scout Troop 80's 98th Eagle Scout on July 14, with a ceremony honoring his achievement at Magnolia United Church of Christ.
For his Eagle project, Overlake School sophomore Safadago organized and supervised 45 volunteers in maintaining a Discovery Park trail surrounding a pond by the park's north parking lot. He obtained a donation of gravel from Glacier Northwest for the project.
Safadago currently is enrolled to be a counselor-in-training at Camp Parsons, a Boy Scout camp founded in 1919 and located on the Hood Canal. A member of the Overlake varsity soccer, junior varsity basketball and varsity lacrosse teams, Safadago plans on attending medical school after graduation.
