Joe Meyer was honored by Troop 80 for attaining Eagle Scout rank in a ceremony held June 19 at Magnolia United Church of Christ.
Center School senior Meyer earned Eagle status by planning and leading a group of volunteers in painting the adult area of the Family and Adult Service Center in October 2006, as well as collecting donated items for the Center.
Recently returned from four months as a Senate page in Washington, D.C., Meyer includes college plans in his future. He especially enjoys the hikes and camaraderie of Scouts.
