Glassybaby reaches $2 million in donations

Madrona-based Glassybaby (3406 E. Union St.) has reached its goal of $2 million in giving to charities around the country that are dedicated to healing.

To celebrate this milestone achievement, Glassybaby kicked off two months of gratitude in April and May with a celebratory “2 Million Thank-Yous” campaign.

Cancer survivor Lee Rhodes started Glassybaby 16 years ago with the mission of giving 10 percent of its sales to various charities. To date, it has raised $2 million to more than 100 healing charities, including the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, Ben Towne Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, Camp Korey, Stand Up To Cancer, White Light Fund, Rainier Valley Food Bank, Swedish Medical Center Foundation, Robin Hood Foundation, Conservation International, American Red Cross, Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation and STTR.
