History House collecting donations for vets

The History House of Greater Seattle (790 N. 34th St.) is collecting sellable and recyclable items for St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle–King County’s “Operation Veteran Renewal” program.

From Monday, Aug. 18, through Aug. 24, gently used, resalable donations of clothing, electronics, furniture, household goods, media and outdoor supplies can be dropped off at the History House.

Recyclable items also are accepted, including bicycles, cell phones, metal desks larger than 48 inches, non-working electronics and TVs larger than 32 inches (flat-screen TVs larger than 42 inches). Motorized vehicles may also be donated.

Smaller items may be left at History House during its regular business hours: noon to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, through Aug. 24.

Appointments must be made for larger items to be dropped off, during these hours: 8 a.m. to noon, Aug. 18 and 19; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 through 22; noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 and 24. Call Paul at (206) 240-0812 for an appointment.
