Final deadline approaching for McGilvra bricks

Due to continued interest, Sept. 4 is the extended (and likely final) opportunity to purchase a commemorative Centennial Paver brick to celebrate the first 100 years of McGilvra Elementary School (1617 38th Ave. E.). No orders will be accepted after Sept. 4.

Several alumni have turned in orders, including one who graduated from McGilvra in 1931.

A brick can be purchased in memorial of a classmate or relative or in honor of someone who attended or attends McGilvra Elementary School.

The donation is tax-deductible and eligible for a corporate match.

McGilvra is supported mainly from contributions from the community and families of the school. The school district provides a small amount of funding because McGilvra is a small school. Matching-fund contributions add up quickly and are an essential part of our strategy to have the resources and opportunities the children and staff need. If your company offers this, take advantage of it.
