Kent man charged in Leschi double murder

Brown was also wanted in connection with a recent robbery and carjacking incident in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., as well as warrants for failure to register as a sex offender for a 2012 incident in the Seattle area.]

Kent resident Ali Muhammad Brown, 29, has been charged with the aggravated first-degree murders of Dwone Anderson-Young and Ahmed Said outside of a Leschi home on June 1. The charges, filed Wednesday, July 2, mean Brown could face life in prison without parole or the death penalty if convicted.

Brown is currently at large and believed to have fled to the East Coast, where he is suspected of robbery and other crimes, a Seattle Police spokesperson told the Seattle P-I.

The charging papers say Brown “essentially executed” the two victims. Said had contacted Brown online for sex partners and met him at a Capitol Hill bar the evening of the murders. Brown then left with the two victims and allegedly killed them at close range with his girlfriend’s handgun, which she had reported missing.

Police say they found Brown’s palm print in Said’s car, which was found abandoned in Southeast Seattle two days after the murders.

Surveillance video from the bar and witnesses identify Brown as leaving with the victims. Within 20 minutes, the two victims were shot.
