Appeals are made to the Office of the Hearing Examiner, Seattle Municipal Tower, 40th Floor (SMT-40-00), 700 Fifth Ave., Suite 4000, Seattle, WA 98104. Appeals must be accompanied by a $50 filing fee in a check payable to the City of Seattle.

Permit applications

1710 26TH AVE. (3017498) for a Land Use Application to allow a three-story, single-family residence with attached garage in an environmentally critical area. Existing structure to remain. The following approval is required: SEPA environmental determination. (This project is subject to the Optional DNS Process (WAC 197-11-355) and Early DNS Process (SMC 25.05.355). This comment period may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of this proposal. Building permit may be needed but was not included in this application. Written comments accepted through July 9.

923 29TH AVE. S. (3017817) for a Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into five unit lots. The construction of residential units is under Project No. 6358800. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. The following approval is required: Unit Lot Subdivision to create five unit lots. Water Availability Certificate may be needed but was not included in this application. Written comments accepted through July 9.

Permit decisions

1938 43RD AVE. E. (3013613) on a Shoreline Substantial Development Application to add a new dwelling unit to an existing commercial building. Project includes changing the use of a portion of existing structure and adding a second-story addition for the new dwelling unit. No parking proposed. The following appealable decisions have been made based on submitted plans: Shoreline Substantial Development to allow development in the UR shoreline environment granted; Variance to provide less than the required ground level amenity area granted. This decision is appealable to the Washington State Shoreline Hearings Board until at least July 14.

1716 27TH AVE. (3016918) on a Land Use Application to subdivide one parcel of land into two parcels in an environmentally critical area. Existing structure to be demolished. The following appealable decisions have been made based on submitted plans: Short Subdivision to create two parcels of land granted; Determination of Non-Significance (no Environmental Impact Statement required). Environmental review completed, and no conditions imposed. This DNS is issued using the optional DNS process in WAC 197.11.355 and SMC 25.05.355. The comment period was originally published on April 24, 2014, and there is no further comment period on this DNS. The hearing examiner must receive appeals of this decision no later than July 10.
