Man, 20, killed in Leschi

 

Police continue to look for suspects after finding a 20-year-old man shot to death in Leschi on April 24.

According to the Seattle Police Dept. Jeff Kappel, around 6:44 p.m., officers responded to 911 reports of shots fired and then a man lying in the street in the 500 block of 28th Avenue South. As officers responded to the area additional callers reported seeing a car speeding off southbound and a man running northbound from the shooting scene. The callers did not provide further descriptions or details.

Officers arrived on scene in less than two minutes and located the victim lying in the street, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers set up containment and immediately began CPR. Fire department medics responded and took over the CPR. Medics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene shortly thereafter.

There is no suspect or suspect vehicle information available at this time.

Homicide and Gang Unit detectives responded to the scene and continue to investigate.
