SEEDArts to screen documentary on income inequality

SEEDArts Cinema will present the documentary “Inequality for All” at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center (3515 S. Alaska St.) on Saturday, May 17, at 7 p.m. Featuring former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, the movie exposes the widening problem of income inequality in America — a problem Reich says “has been getting worse and worse for over 30 years.” This film won the Special Jury Prize at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

A panel discussion will immediately follow the film, focusing on the current issue of raising the minimum wage in the City of Seattle to $15 per hour. Panelists include Marcus Courtney of the AFL-CIO, City of SeaTac Mayor Mia Gregerson and SouthEast Effective Development executive director Lance Matteson.

Admission is $5. For more information, visit www.rainiervalleyculturalcenter.org/cinema.
