Crews working on the state Route 520 West Approach Bridge North Project will be hard at work throughout the weekend on demolition of the “Ramps to Nowhere” and other construction activities.
Beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will shut down all lanes of SR 520 across Lake Washington in both directions between Montlake Boulevard and 92nd Avenue Northeast.
During the closure, crews will continue demolishing the never-completed R.H. Thomson Expressway ramps. Full removal of the 1960s-era ramps will be complete next summer.
Also construction will continue of a temporary work bridge from which to build the new West Approach Bridge North.
