Local businesses open to trick-or-treaters

Kids can trick-or-treat at neighborhood businesses in Madrona and Madison Park on Friday, Oct. 31.

In Madrona, the community council and BOOM (Business Owners of Madrona) are sponsoring a gathering with Halloween treats at the Shelterhouse (3211 E. Spring St.), starting at 5 p.m. Then they send off the trick-or-treaters on a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood as they collect treats from local businesses.

In Madison Park, trick-or-treaters can collect candy from the local businesses from 4 to 6 p.m. The Madison Park Business Association sponsors the annual event.
