Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Late Night Recreation Program will start offering free hot and healthy meals to participants beginning in September. The Late Night program serves teens ages 13 to 19.
Meals will be provided at the Garfield Teen Life Center (420 23rd Ave.) on Fridays and Saturdays, from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Seattle Parks was awarded a sponsorship from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program administered by the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Meals will be made available to Late Night Program participants at no separate charge.
