The city’s Department of Planning and Development (DPD) provided the following information. Written comments on projects should be mailed to 700 Fifth Ave., Suite 2000, P.O. Box 34019, Seattle, WA 98124-4019.

Appeals are made to the Office of the Hearing Examiner, Seattle Municipal Tower, 40th Floor (SMT-40-00), 700 Fifth Ave., Suite 4000, Seattle, WA 98104. Appeals must be accompanied by a $50 filing fee in a check payable to the City of Seattle.

Permit applications

1716 27TH AVE. (3019489) for a Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into two unit lots. The construction of residential units is under Project No. 6416372. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. The following approval is required: Unit Lot Subdivision to create two unit lots. Water Availability Certificate may be needed but was not included in this application. Written comments accepted through Feb. 25.

3700 E. VALLEY ST. (3019073) for a Land Use Application to allow revegetation in an environmentally critical area. Project includes Vegetation Restoration Plan. The following approval is required: SEPA environmental determination. (This project is subject to the Optional DNS Process (WAC 197-11-355) and Early DNS Process (SMC 25.05.355). This comment period may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of this proposal. Written comments accepted through Feb. 25.

 

Permit decisions

2300 ARBORETUM DRIVE E. (3017159) on a Shoreline Substantial Development Application to install a 1.2-mile, multi-use trail, replace existing parking lot and add 13 parking spaces for a total of 45 spaces in an environmentally critical area (Washington Park Arboretum). Review includes restoration of wetland, stream and riparian habitat, including the daylighting of several sections of Arboretum Creek. Vegetation restoration plan has been submitted. Review also includes grading. The following appealable decisions have been made based on submitted plans: Shoreline Substantial Development to allow biking and pedestrian paths within the CP Environment granted; Determination of Non-Significance (no Environmental Impact Statement required). Environmental review completed, and no conditions imposed. This DNS is issued using the optional DNS process in WAC 197.11.355 and SMC 25.05.355. The comment period was originally published on June 12, 2014, and there is no further comment period on this DNS. This decision is appealable to the Washington State Shoreline Hearings Board until at least March 5.
