Metro’s ‘visioning’ workshop to focus on public transportation

King County Metro Transit will have experts speak on the future of public transportation in the county during a “visioning” workshop on Tuesday, March 31.

The workshop — which will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Central Library’s (1000 Fourth Ave.) Microsoft Auditorium — will include a panel with Puget Sound Sage executive director Rebecca Saldaña, “Human Transit” author Jarrett Walker and Washington State Transportation Center director Mark Hallenbeck.

Audience members will then break into discussion groups to share ideas about transportation and equity, education and institutions, business and economy, technology, the integration of transit modes, future policy and funding.

Questions for the panelists can be submitted at www.kcmetrovision.org/comment.
