The Seahawks fan group 12s Helping 12s is holding its first rally and fundraiser Sunday, March 29, to help 12 fan John Bachner and raise money for area charities. 12s of all ages are invited.
John Bachner, of Bonney Lake, Wash., is a longtime 12 who was left paralyzed after an accident on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg, Wash., last September. 12s Rally for 12s will help offset the cost of a accessible van for Bachner, in addition to supporting the work of 12s Helping the Homeless (volunteers twice monthly deliver meals, clothing, etc.) and longtime charities of the Ballard Elks, hosting the event (Military Veterans, Children's Hospital, Scholastic Scholarships, Special Needs Youth Therapy Programs, Food Banks and more).
The rally will feature Seahawks alumni, live music by Latigo Lace, Seahawks-themed cars and trucks, Seahawks-themed vendors, informational booths, games, food, Wilson the 12th Pony, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, merchandise raffle and more.
The event will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, at the Ballard Elks (6411 Seaview Ave. N.W.). Parking is free.
A donation of $12 per person is suggested to help aid in the fundraising. If people are unable to attend, donations may be sent to 12s Helping 12s, P.O. Box 80651, Seattle, WA 98108.
