MADISON VALLEY: HARASSMENT
Police responded to the 2700 block of East Madison Street around 9:55 a.m. on Oct. 15 to investigate a harassment report.
According to the victim, a man who had pulled a knife on him last May was at the bus stop and confronted him again on the day of the report.
The victim was looking at a newsstand when the suspect recognized him and started yelling at him and addressed him with a slur. The victim turned around to see the suspect waving a cane at him from a few feet away.
The victim walked away and called police. He said he saw the suspect board a bus and leave the area.
The victim had taken a photo of the suspect, and a witness positively identified him. The witness provided information about the suspect to police, but he wasn’t certain whether it was current.

MADRONA: BIKE BURGLARY
Sometime between 10:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 11, someone stole a $5,000 bicycle from a detached garage in the 3600 block of East Union Street.
Nothing else appeared to have been stolen or out of place.
The owner said the garage was not locked when the burglary occurred.
He had asked neighbors if they saw or heard anything, but no one did.
The responding officer advised the bike owner to lock his garage and to secure other parts of his residence.
