Woman's body found in home after shooting on East Arthur Place

Seattle homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman found shot in a Madison Valley home Tuesday morning.

Police and medics responded to a report of a shooting on East Arthur Place in Madison Valley shortly after 9:20 a.m. Tuesday morning. A passerby reported seeing the woman down inside the house, according to the SPD Blotter blog.

The victim was reportedly found dead inside a building in the 2800 block of the street. The exact address listed by police on its 911 Crime Maps is a small one-story home.

Detectives were speaking with potential witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene at the time of this writing.
