Officials have identified the victim of an Aug. 2 shooting as 51-year-old Trina Bolar.

Bolar was found dead by Seattle Fire personnel who were called to her home in the 2800 block of E. Arthur Place following a report of a shooting. The caller had reportedly been walking by the house when she saw Bolar on the ground.

The King County Medical Examiner confirmed Wednesday that Bolar had died of multiple gunshot wounds and that police had ruled her death a homicide.

Bolar was a mother of two, a daughter and son, and grandmother of two young boys. She was preceded in death by her boyfriend Ray Darden, who passed on April 1, according to black community newspaper The Facts.

Homicide detectives with the Seattle Police Department are investigating the case.
