Food for housing at Omnivorous

Capitol Hill Housing will host its sixth annual Omnivorous food event at the end of this month, on Sept. 29. The event will take place 5:30 p.m. at Summit on Pike, 420 E. Pike St.

Twenty-five restaurants, bars and distilleries from the Capitol Hill neighborhood will congregate to hand out samples of food and drink.

Proceeds from donations made at Omnivorous will support Capitol Hill Housing’s operations. Capitol Hill Housing leases affordable-rate apartments to low-income renters in multiple neighborhoods. In addition to managing apartments, the organization connects residents to employment services and health care.
