Police arrest two suspects in Central District drive-by shooting

Two men are in custody Monday following a drive-by shooting in the Central District.

Police report calls came in around 11:15 a.m. that someone in a gold Pontiac had fired at two men as they were walking near 25th Avenue and Jackson Street. No injuries were reported.

Officers spotted the suspect vehicle and followed it to 23rd Avenue and South College Street, where police report the men took off on foot. They were taken into custody shortly after.

Police report the victims declined to provide statements to officers.

The SPD Gang Unit is investigating and asks that anyone with information call 206-684-4585.
