Not This Time, an advocacy group that promotes increased police accountability and de-escalation training, will host the three Seattle Police chief finalists during a community conversation 6-8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Seattle Vocational Institute.

Interim Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best, Minneapolis Police Inspector Eddie Frizell and Austin Police Assistant Chief Ely Reyes are the top-three contenders for Seattle Police chief.

They’ll answer questions from the community and a panel that includes Not This Time executive director Andre Taylor, King County Inquest Review Committee member Devitta Briscoe, LEAD National Support Bureau director Najja Morris and attorney, activist and former mayoral candidate Nikkita Oliver with The People’s Party.

The Seattle Vocational Institute is at 2120 S. Jackson St., and the community conversation will take place in Room 401.
