Editor,
One of the things I’ve found most challenging during this unprecedented pandemic is how information is changing and evolving so rapidly. To be sure, the best thing we can all do during this time is stay informed and adhere to guidance and safety precautions put in place by government and public health.
That’s why I am sending out a daily COVID-19 e-news update that includes up-to-the-minute information on what you can do to stay healthy. It also provides information on grants for small businesses, renters, laid-off workers, homeowners and more. Plus, the latest numbers from Public Health on cases and fatalities in King County. I also try to include messages of hope and amusing pieces which can be helpful, as well as what you can do to help others.
During this crisis I will be doing everything I can to keep you informed about what’s happening around the region and at the county-level related to COVID-19. The council, our staff and I are all working full-time remotely.
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to sign up for my updates.
Together we are going to get through this. In the meantime, do not hesitate to contact my office if you need any assistance or have any questions or concerns, 206-477-1004 or Jeanne.kohl-welles@kingcounty.gov.
