Residents invited to participate in COVID-19 vaccine telephone town hall

AARP is inviting King County residents to participate in a county-wide telephone town hall meeting with Patty Hayes, director of Public Health Seattle & King County, and Dr. Scott Barnhart, physician and professor of medicine and global health at the University of Washington, about how everyone can combat COVID together, as well as the latest about vaccine distribution in King County. AARP Washington State Director Doug Shadel will moderate the one-hour conversation and take questions from callers.

The town hall begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16. Participants can join by dialing toll-free, (855) 962-0970, or register in advance by going to https://vekeo.com/event/aarpwashington-65085/. The call will also be live streamed on the AARP Washington Facebook page, www.facebook.com/AARPWA.

AARP Washington makes these conversations available to offer Washingtonians the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 and the COVID-19 vaccine process. Information for older adults is being gathered and posted at www.aarp.org/wavaccine and is updated as new information becomes available.
