A sneak peek

The newly renovated Greenwood Library, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N., reopens Saturday, Jan. 29, with a celebration from noon to 3 p.m., with returning branch manager Francesca Wainwright . The new library features a prominent children's area at the front of the library, a reference area and two self-checkout stations in the center, a meeting room accommodating 64 people that can be closed off from the rest of the library, several meeting/study rooms throughout, an outdoor balcony and a quiet room facing east that is "acoustically isolated," according to library architect Lisa Scribante. The building also contains many recyclable materials, including tabletops made of reclaimed American elm wood.[[In-content Ad]]
