A Time to Sew

Keiko Leong (standing at left) and Katie Spaulding, both 10, get some sewing tips from Marge Hestad during the Time to Sew event. The girls, members of Girl Scouts Troop 1811, helped make quilt tops for the Project Linus effort.

The event also kicked off the Greenwood Senior Center's Sewing Mentorship Program.

The senior center will have a similar event in January, when volunteers will make quilts, place mats and napkins for Northwest Hospital's Independence Inn physical rehabilitation program.
