The Rainier Chamber Foundation held its 20 th annual benefit auction, on April 14 at the South Seattle Community College. The proceeds from the event, which featured both silent and live auctions, are go toward college scholarships to graduating students from Cleveland, Franklin, Garfield, Rainier Beach and South Lake high schools.
Last year more than 100 students applied for the scholarships.
The foundation is currently accepting applications for their 2007 scholarship program. The funds will also be used to support local schools and community groups, community clean-ups and the Rainier Valley Heritage Parade. For more information, call 725-2010.[[In-content Ad]]
