City Council candidate forum set for Aug. 30, 31

Community Radio Station KBCS 91.3 FM will host two public forums with candidates for Seattle City Council at the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), 2700 24th Ave. E., on Tuesday, Aug. 30, and Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Broadcast live each evening starting at 6 p.m. on KBCS 91.3 FM, the free public forums will feature panelists from such publications as Colors NW, Real Change News, The International Examiner and Seattle Weekly.

The forums also will be videotaped by Seattle Community Access Network, cable TV channel 29/77, for rebroadcast prior to the September primary.

Candidates for Seattle City Council position 4 - Linda Averill, Angel Bolanos, Casey Corr and Jan Drago - will take questions from the panel Tuesday evening.

On Aug. 31 the panel will question candidates for City Council positions 2 - Richard Conlin, Darlene Madenwald, Paige Miller - and position 8: Richard McIver, Dwight Pelz and Robert Rosencrantz.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Live broadcast begins at 6 p.m. sharp.
