The state Department of Ecol-ogy will have a public meeting and hearing on Thursday, March 22, to discuss the proposed additional cleanup at the Metro Lake Union North Yard property (also known as the Tank Farm property), 1602 N. Northlake Way.
The meeting - which will take place at Hamilton International Middle School, 1610 N. 41st St. - will start with an open house from 6:30 to 7 p.m., followed by a public meeting from 7 to 7:45 p.m. The state will then take public comments on the proposed cleanup actions until 9 p.m.
The public comment period ends March 29. Documents on the cleanup are available at the Wallingford Library, 1501 N. 45th St.; at the Fremont Library, 731 N. 35th St.; and on-line at www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/tcp/sites/metro/fn_main.html.
