SOFTBALL: The Wallingford Community Senior Center, 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N., Suite 140, will be home to the only two 50+ co-ed softball teams (recreational and competitive) in Seattle as they start practices in March. Games will take place May through July in Lower Woodland Park.For more information, including league fees, call 461-7825.NEW PROGRAM: The Greenwood Senior Center has started the Greenwood SAGE (Seniors, Active, Giving and Engaged) Project to provide opportunities for group education and action. The Greenwood SAGE Project's first event was a Civic Engagement Fair in January, where representatives from such nonprofit organizations as New Horizons, Compassion and Choices and Casa Latina offered volunteer opportunities.Also, the program will have an Action Day every fourth Tuesday of the month, where seniors can learn about issues and act on them by volunteering. January's focus was global poverty, with emphasis on pregnant women and young children.
