Column produces own memories
[I] just want to tell you how much I appreciate reading your monthly articles on the local happenings of events in the '50s and '60s (Revisiting the Park, by longtime Madison Park resident Richard Carl Lehman).

As a native of Seattle (Queen Anne), your recent article regarding the skiing capers ("It's all downhill for the Attic Ski Club," Dec. 15) brought back lots of memories when the Seattle Times Ski School was started right after the war, as I recall.

Now, as a 16-plus-year resident of Washington Park, I'm enjoying this wonderful area with my wife...all the shops, and especially the Attic.

Doug Obrien,
Washington Park
