Warman wins award at garden

Kirkland resident and landscape designer Phyllis Warman was a hit at the the 2007 Northwest Flower and Garden Show.

The display garden she co-designed for the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association, entitled "Suburban Swank with a Twist," won three awards and featured furnishings by Kirkland's Liberty 123 as well as a sculpture from Kirkland artist, Zanne Nelson. Her co-designer was fellow Kirkland resident and landscape designer Colleen Miko.

The garden will be featured in the April issue of Seattle Homes & Lifestyle magazine, and upcoming episodes of both HGTV's Gardening by The Yard and Big Sur Media Production's The Coastal Gardener. The garden was also featured in the Tacoma Tribune as the second biggest must-see of this year's show.

Also featured in the garden was a Kalamazoo outdoor martini bar shipped from Michigan, chaise lounges shipped from Venice, Calif. and hundreds of plants donated from WSNLA member nurseries from around Western Washington including from our local area Molbak's, JB Sod, T&L and Northwest Nursery[[In-content Ad]]
