MPBA seeks donations for Madison Park holiday lights

The Madison Park Business Association is seeking donations for the annual holiday tree lighting fund, which wraps the trees in the Madison Street business core with lights every year.

Original Childrens Shop co-owner Kellie Etherington is coordinating the fundraising, and tells MPT it costs $300 to light one tree. On top of beautifying the neighborhood, she says the additional lighting enhances safety.

Any donation is appreciated, and can be made at the Original Childrens Shop, 4216 E. Madison St., or via Paypal to madisonparkba@gmail.com. Etherington tells MPT this is the first year that a tax-deductible receipt is being offered through the Madison Park Community Council. The deadline to donate is Nov. 15.
