Save Madison Valley to provide appeal update at MVCC meeting

Melissa Stoker with Save Madison Valley will be the guest speaker at the next Madison Valley Community Council meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Stoker will provide a brief update on Save Madison Valley’s appeal to the Hearing Examiner regarding the master use permit issued to Velmeir Companies for its six-story mixed-use development slated to replace City People’s Garden Store at 2925 E. Madison St. Time is being left for questions from community members.

Save Madison Valley and Velmeir counsel came before the Hearing Examiner for a pre-conference on Friday, Sept. 14, where a date for the appeal hearing was set to start on Monday, Dec. 10. 

The Madison Valley Community Council meets at the MLK FAME Center at 3201 E. Republican St.
