Madison Books offers story time for kids

Madison Books manager James Crossley has started offering a children’s story time at the Madison Park bookstore, which starts at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday.

“It’s something that we’ve always done at Phinney [Books] and for that reason he was interested in starting it here, and also because customers are interested,” said Madison Books owner Tom Nissley. “I think it’s something that people look at a neighborhood bookstore for.”

Children can come in with their adults, grab a blanket and find a seat on the floor, where employee Paula Gill will read several books.

The free story time is open to everyone, but Nissley said groups should call ahead.
