Madison Park Days return

Madison Park’s annual neighborhood parade and picnic will once again start with a parade of children in costumes, some with decked-out bikes and scooters, on Saturday, July 13, followed by food, games and entertainment in the park.

The parade lineup starts at 11:45 a.m., outside the Wells Fargo at East Madison Street and McGilvra Boulevard East, and takes off, with a Seattle Fire engine taking the lead, at noon.

A complimentary picnic — pizza, hot dogs, drinks — starts at 12:15 p.m. inside Madison Park, with games, music and a clown show by Charles the Clown.

The parade and picnic are part of Madison Park Days, which starts with a sidewalk sale supported by Madison Park merchants, which runs Thursday, July 11, to Sunday, July 14, and is organized by the Madison Park Business Association.
