Spencer Myron Bell, age 81 of Queen Anne Hill went to his heavenly home one year ago on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2020 surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. He was a devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather, respected Queen Anne businessman, friend and a man of faith who excelled in acts of service to friends, family and those less fortunate.

Spencer was born in April of 1939 in Seattle to Leland & Leona Bell. He was raised on Queen Anne hill by his mother and wonderful stepfather, Bob Robertson after his father passed away when Spencer was 3 years old. He and his siblings Marliss (Ben Moyle), Myrna (Dick Benskin) and Bruce (Christy Robertson) attended Queen Anne High School. It was at QA High School that he met Karen MacLean and they soon became high school sweethearts, graduating in 1958 and married two years later. In 1959 he entered the United States Marine Corp proudly serving his country for four years. After completing his military service he started Best Plumbing on Queen Anne hill.

Spencer was a long time member of the Samaritan Class at First Free Methodist Church, he served on the QA Chamber of Commerce, QA Helpline Board Member, was a Little League Baseball supporter and volunteer umpire and played Helpline Santa to the delight of his grandchildren. His generosity was many times behind the scenes to others and only known after his passing.

Spencer is survived by his loving wife, Karen, two daughters who miss him immensely, Melissa Breiwick (Randy) and Kathleen Lilleness (Bill) and, and four grandchildren who adored him: Deanna Breiwick, Rachel Breiwick, Jackson Lilleness and Conrad Lilleness, sisters and brother and many nephews and nieces. A special graveside service was held with close family on January 3, 2021. Many thanks to his caregivers who treated him with such beautiful respect.
