Seattle music trio seeking public votes for online music competition

Queen Anne-based music group Blush Fox Trio, an electro-swing trio that fuses retro big band sound and swing-era harmonies in their music, has is competing in the world’s largest online music competition, Opening Act 2021. The winner will receive $10,000 and perform at Audacy’s annual concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The previous winner opened for artists Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Billie Eilish and more.

The band is hoping community members will cast votes in their favor to help them stay in the competition. They’ve already made it through initial selections and three rounds of cuts.

Deadline for the next round of voting is Thursday. Voting will reduce the top five entrants to one preliminary winner in each group who will advance to the quarterfinals. People can vote by going to https://theopenact.com/2021/blush-fox-trio.
